Hello, and welcome to Real Estate Reality Radio. The most important hour of radio every Friday from 9 to 10 on WBCB 1490 am. Thank you for joining Vince and me. For those of you who are not familiar with the show I am the guy with a bow tie and a bit of an attitude and Vince is the fun affable best friend. Our show is dedicated to dispelling the myths associated with Real Estate and finance in your marketplace.

Within every market there are obstacles and solutions on the path to tremendous opportunities. Vince and I believe that most people are looking for practical advice. Please feel free to call 215-740-8999 or visit peterbuchsbaum.com.

Please join us live on the web at www.wbcb1490.com from 9:00am to 10:00 am every Friday.

So last week we were we were on our own celebrating Black Friday. This week had some interesting current events. Home Prices Rise according to Case-Shiller. Yes, not just a 3.6% increase but the second quarter in a row with a year over year increase. Have really turned the corner? Now more than ever it appears that the time to buy is now. In other news what would we do without the Fiscal Cliff? A concern for many of us in the housing industry is how will congress deal with the “mortgage deduction” while trying to navigate the cliff? Vince and I firmly believe that any changes to the mortgage deduction will knock the aforementioned recovery off of it’s foundation.

Today Vince and I are fortunate enough to be joined by Lori Papenella of Southern Ocean Chamber of Commerce. Lori’s chamber represents Long Beach Island and she wants everyone to know that Long Beach Island is open for business. Currently they are preparing for the Ocean Professional Theater Company that runs the month of December. Tuckerton Seaport Christkindlmarket December 8 and 9. Chocolate week February 9-18. And let us not forget the Wedding Road Show April 21st.
Super Storm Sandy will not deter Long Beach Island from getting back on track. With more than $1 billion in revenue from tourism Lori and her chamber are making certain that LBI is up and running. The Jersey shore is more than just a vacation spot. For many in the Delaware Valley it is a way of life. Whether a long weekend of week long or month long visit they will be ready for all visitors.

Please join us live at www.wbcb1490.com for the open discussion about the fact that Long Beach Island is open for business.

In combination with CBS and WPHT 1210 am we have also been fortunate enough to have been asked to write some articles in “Local Living Magazine” to explore some of the questions you all ask us and the answers we provide. Look for your latest issue this week.
Each week we discuss the myths of the mortgage market. It is not about rate. A higher rate with no mortgage insurance may provide a lower payment.
